Woman stuck and killed while walking to Mass

A Massachusetts woman was struck and killed by a pickup truck as she attempted to cross the street Sept. 24. Reports say that she had been on her way to daily Mass when the accident occurred.

3-vehicle accident leaves 5 injured in Massachusetts

An accident involving three vehicles occurred in New Salem on Sept. 22, officials stated. Multiple people suffered injuries on account of the wreck, which transpired on Route 202 at approximately 1:25 p.m.

On Sept. 14, a pedestrian accident left a Massachusetts woman with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities. The 9:50 p.m. incident reportedly occurred near the Lowell intersection of Middlesex and East Aldea streets.

Chain-reaction accident temporarily closes interstate

Around 2:50 p.m. on September 10, five people suffered minor injuries in an accident that happened on the Braga Bridge in Fall River, Massachusetts. The eastbound lanes of Interstate 195 were clogged for about 45 minutes after the accident, but the middle lane was reopened after two of the eastbound lanes had been shut down.

Cyclist killed in Massachusetts crash

A 29-year-old cyclist in Medford died after he was involved in an accident with a motorcyclist on Sept. 5. The collision happened between Daly Road and Hastings Lane on the Mystic Valley Parkway around 7:40 p.m. Emergency responders found both men laid out on the pavement approximately 50 feet away from one another. One victim was unconscious and bleeding heavily from the head. That individual was brought to Massachusetts General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Massachusetts car-motorcycle crash kills father and daughter

A 62-year-old Holyoke man and his 29-year-old daughter from Brooklyn, New York, died in Easthampton when the motorcycle on which they were riding was hit head-on by an SUV driven by a 45-year-old Springfield man, according to police. The car accident occurred slightly after 3 p.m. on Aug. 25 when the southbound car crossed into the oncoming lane of Route 5.

3 injured after vehicle hits 2 motorcycle officers

A representative for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority reported that two of the MBTA’s police officers were involved in an accident near Orient Heights on Sept. 5. One 37-year-old male officer suffered a broken leg that will need surgery, among other injuries. The second officer is a 29-year-old male who was released from the hospital several hours after the accident occurred.

Driver of SUV charged for fatal motorcycle crash

A 45-year-old man who was accused of causing a fatal accident in Massachusetts was taken into police custody, and he was charged with two counts of homicide on Aug. 28. According to the press release, the incident took place on Route 5 in Easthampton.

Massachusetts tractor-trailer accident injures 1

Local law enforcement officials reported an accident involving a semi-truck and a sport-utility vehicle that happened in Mansfield around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 22 injured the driver of the SUV. An ambulance transported the SUV driver to a hospital in Providence. The driver of the semitrailer was not harmed.
