Police investigate 4-vehicle accident that injured 2

Authorities in Massachusetts believe that a driver committed a traffic violation which led to a multi-vehicle accident in Longmeadow on August 20. The crash injured two drivers, and one of them suffered serious injuries.

18 injured when car strikes bus in Massachusetts crash

Eighteen people, including a bus driver, suffered injuries in an Aug. 12 accident involving an MBTA bus and a car. Police believed that drug use played a role in the car accident and arrested the car’s driver, a 30-year-old Franklin man who had two previous arrests for operating under the influence.

Man killed in motorcycle accident

A 36-year-old man in Massachusetts was killed after he was involved in a motorcycle accident that occurred on Aug. 3. The incident reportedly occurred around 1 a.m. on the westbound side of Route 44 in Carver. Investigators responding to the scene recovered pieces of a vehicle indicating a blue Hyundai was involved. The 29-year-old man allegedly responsible for causing the wreck turned himself into the local police around 4 p.m. that afternoon.

Multi-vehicle accident injures 9

Nine people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Massachusetts on Aug. 10. Charges have not yet been filed, but both Leominster and Lancaster police are investigating the accident.

3 injured in rollover car accident; driver detained

A representative for the Massachusetts State Police said that three people were injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident in Chicopee during the morning hours of July 26. The driver who was involved was arrested and faces various charges in the car accident.

Rental agencies suspected issues before GM recall

Massachusetts drivers may be paying attention to reports of recent recalls by General Motors. Apparently, some rental car companies brought concerns to the automaker’s attention well in advance of the large wave of recent problems. In fact, one rental company alerted GM to concerns at least seven years earlier.
