5 injured in 2-vehicle Massachusetts Turnpike crash

State troopers say that five people became injured in an accident involving two vehicles on the Massachusetts Turnpike. The crash happened shortly after 5 a.m. on April 26 in Charlton after a westbound Cadillac CTS ran into the back of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Three of the Cadillac occupants were ejected. Suffering serious injuries, they were transported to a Worcester hospital via ambulance.

On March 20, it was reported that three people, including a 16-year-old Massachusetts boy, were injured in car crash. According to the Massachusetts State Police, the crash was caused by a 56-year-old woman who crashed into another a Honda Civic on McGrath Highway while suffering from a medical emergency. Reports initially stated that the crash occurred at 7:15 a.m., but officials released information saying that the crash happed at 8 a.m.

On March 9, Massachusetts State Police reported that a 22-year-old Taunton resident was killed in a car accident. The crash, which happened on the Massachusetts Turnpike at approximately 8:40 a.m., reportedly involved the deceased woman’s SUV and a tractor-trailer.

An early morning automobile accident in New Bedford, Massachusetts, resulted in the untimely death of a 22-year-old passenger. The driver, a 19-year-old girl, survived with only minor injuries.

Around 11:15 a.m.Jan. 10, officials were called to the scene of a five-car hit-and-run incident in Barnstable. The driver of a Ford Econoline van was arrested later when local police located him in a hospital parking lot shortly after the incidents occurred.

Man outside of car killed on highway

An accident occurred on Interstate 495 north that claimed the life of a 28-year-old man at 2:45 p.m. on Dec. 20. The man’s car had apparently broken down near exit 46. According to Massachusetts police, he was standing outside and to the front of his 2004 Lexus when a 1999 Dodge Durango hit the Lexus, causing both vehicles to strike the man standing along the highway. The exact reason for the crash was not immediately known. Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services are responsible for investigating the crash further.
