Massachusetts man charged with sexual abuse

A 29-year-old man has been formally charged after an accusation of sexual assault. He has been confronted with seven counts of sexual abuse in Massachusetts. He is faced with up to 20 years in prison for each count he has been charged with.A teenage girl went to the hospital over the summer after she was reportedly sexually assaulted the day before. She informed medical staff of the violent sexual assault and law enforcement was contacted following the allegation. The girl stated that, during the sexual assault, the man ripped off her clothing and violently shoved her to the floor right before raping her. After the incident, the man allegedly tried to intimidate the girl and urged her to withhold the assault from her parents. He was arrested and charged with felony aggravated sexual assault and tampering with a witness. He is being detained at a county jail on a $75,000 bond.Undoubtedly, no person should be subject to engage in any type of sexual activity against their will, particularly when the person is a minor. It is likely that the teenage girl has experienced physical injuries, along with mental anguish as a result of the sexual abuse. In addition to the criminal charges the man faces, he may also have to enter a Massachusetts courtroom again in civil litigation. The teenage girl or her parents may be entitled to pursue a personal injury claim against the man for damages suffered due to his actions. The mental images may never disappear; however, the girl may be awarded some form of financial relief.
