Motorcyclist in critical condition after crash in Massachusetts

An 18-year-old Belchertown motorcyclist is in the hospital after he collided into a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old woman. While the motorcyclist is in critical condition, the driver and her passenger did not sustain any injuries because of the crash. The motorcyclist and the motorist were traveling in the same direction when the driver made a left turn. Law enforcement officials are currently trying to learn the cause of the crash. Since the accident is still under investigation, no charges have been filed. According to reports, the 18-year-old motorcyclist’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening. In cases where the injured plaintiff is a motorcycle accident victim, they can collect damages if their attorney is able to show that the other driver involved in the crash acted in a negligent fashion. Drivers who crash into motorcyclists when making a left turn could be at fault for several reasons. For example, the motorist may not have used turn signals before they made the left turn or they may have been going too fast before going into the turn lane. Eyewitness accounts and reports from law enforcement officials can help the injured plaintiff and their attorney build their case. The injured plaintiff’s attorney could also use accident reconstruction experts to recreate the events leading up to the wreck. Once the injured plaintiff’s attorney gets the results of the investigation, they may be able to show that the defendant’s activities behind the wheel adversely affected the situation and caused injury to the plaintiff, which might result in a settlement or successful verdict.
