Woman killed in devastating bridge accident in Massachusetts

New Year’s Eve is a time for celebration of both the past year and the year to come. Unfortunately, this was not the case for one woman who was killed in a tragic bridge accident. A New Year’s Eve day accident recently claimed the life of a Massachusetts woman. The woman was attempting to walk across a bridge when the bridge began to open so that a boat could pass through. The woman cried out for help but was ultimately crushed by the bridge. According to investigators, the operator of the bridge was unable to see the woman when he began to open it. Community members have come together to offer the woman’s family both emotional and financial support.When a loved one dies in a tragic accident, the victim’s survivors may decide to pursue a wrongful death suit to help compensate them for the financial losses they suffered due to the accident. Families may seek compensation for funeral costs, lost wages and doctors and hospital bills. However, can a deceased victim’s family seek compensation for the victim’s pain and suffering?
