A 71-year-old Massachusetts man experienced a close call on Dec. 11 when a car crashed through the wall of his bedroom and came to a stop just beside his bed. The accident occurred at about 2:30 a.m. on Vernon St. in Worcester.
A serious traffic accident in Canton on Dec. 4 left four people with injuries. Authorities reported that the incident involved two vehicles and took place in the northbound lanes of Route 95 near exit 11.

The total number of fatalities reflects a 7 percent increase over the total motorcycle fatalities in 2011. A total of 333 vehicle fatalities occurred in Massachusetts in 2012; 47 of them were motorcycle fatalities. Motorcycle drivers and passengers are about 26 percent more likely to die in a crash compared to other types of vehicles.
According to authorities, Massachusetts State Police troopers sought an arrest warrant for a 45-year-old East Bridgewater man for allegedly causing a fatal head-on collision on Cape Cod on Nov. 18. The man will be summoned to appear in court for charges related to the incident.
